OUR PASTOR

I was saved when I was 12 years old while attending Cleghorn Valley Baptist Church. I accepted the call to preach in the spring of 1976 my senior year at Chilhowie High School. All of my adult life God has used me to help people weather life’s storms. He has used the experiences of my life, tough times and my coaching and teaching as examples to equip Christians with the tools they need to face life’s challenges.

I have had the good fortune of having had 12 of my former wrestlers to become preachers.

I have been married to Rhonda Blevins for 34 years. She is my helpmate. Her support and encouragement has allowed me to be able to devote and concentrate on God’s leadership in my life. We are a team. She has always been willing to follow God where ever he has led us to serve. We have been on 18 mission trips to Costa Rica.

I have always followed God where ever he has led me. I believe that where God leads he provides. I only want to please God with my life.

I want to encourage you if you do not have a home church and want a sound fundamental church where you can relax, come worship with us.

OUR CHURCH

Fellowship Baptist Church is a small group of believers dedicated to serving a risen savior. We love our fellowship time. We are an unusual church in that when service is over no one is in a hurry to leave. It is not uncommon to see folks hanging around and talking after the service.

Our church supports the Splash ministry, which provides food to school age children in our area. We also have a White Christmas project for families at Christmas.

God has used my coaching experience to flavor my personal ministry to help Christians be able to strengthen their walk with Christ. Life has some really tough challenges. God never wants to destroy us only develop us, he never wants to hurt us only help us. If, you are empty in side, hurting, or trapped in a tough situation please allow God to strengthen you.
